R4TC for Mac OSX Alpha1

This is the first R4 Theme Creator native app for Mac OSX. It is still in alpha, i.e. not stable and buggy and not feature complete, so please do not fire me if it does not working well.

Simple how to use:

  • To load an image, select a screen and drag it into the image box.
  • To move an image, drag the image inside the image box.
  • To resize an image, right click the image box and hold the right click, then move up to scale up, move down to scale down.
  • To load an image as icon, first call the icon window by pressing “Cmd+I”, then drag it into the image box. Resize and move are same as the description above.
  • To change text color of R4, press “Cmd+R” to call the R4DS color window, then click on the color you want to change.
  • To export theme for R4DS, press “Cmd+E” and select target folder.
  • Only R4DS is supported, R4DS clones are NOT supported.

R4 Theme Creator Alice 0.8.1 has been released, here are updates:

  • this version added support for R4DS clones, thanks users who leaving messages about this and testing for it!
  • Other then that, a more easy way of moving/resizing image has beed implemented. All actions are done inside the preview box at the left. To move the image, just drag the image; to resize the image, hold the left shift key and move your mouse up and down. I hope this make it easier in creating your own skins!
  • For users of Linux and Mac OS X, it is possible to run it through mono, but it seems quite unstable.
  • A native Mac OS X version is under development, but I can’t promise it could come out, because I am new to Objective-C and cocoa, but I will try my best :)

This is a little tool to convert Windows Icon Files (.ico) to PNG files. Simply drag a .ico file to the programme and press “Save as PNG”.

Batch convert is now supported.

There are two sizes for users to input — Extract size and Draw size.

Extract size:
As a .ico file may contains multiple size of the image, for example, a 16×16 image, a 32×32 image and a 64×64 image, the Extract size is used specify which size is being taken out. This programme will use the image which the size is less than or equal to the Extract size. In the above example, if I input 50 for Extract size, it will use the 32×32 one.

Draw size:
Image size of the output PNG.
