R4 Theme Creator Alice 0.8

What’s new

Linking upper and lower screens
Support for R4 clones like ~~R4SDHC~~(not the same theming system, sorry about that) and R4 Ultra
Save/Load program settings
Support mono, so that it can run on Linux and Mac OSX too, but some features like saving program settings are not available.

Requirement

Operating system: Windows, Mac or Linux (*)
.NET framework:
Microsoft .Net framework 2.0 (Windows)
mono (Mac or Linux)

this program looks great…, does it resize the image imported if its too big or too small??

Yes it does. Version 0.05 has 4 size mode for background images and icons. In the next version, a more fexible size mode will be added.

its not working 9i click o9n the installer and get this message “the program application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135) anyone know the problem?

Maybe you don’t have Microsoft .NET framework 2.0 installed, please download and install it here:

i have been trying to look for icons, and i cant find much, do u know a site that have already made icons for the games, music, and slot 2??

I don’t think there are much icon made for R4
Mustly I use the icons from the two websites I stated above.

An absolutely fantastic little application. Easy to use and well laid out. Well done!!

Would it be possible to use animated gifs as a background or as one of the buttons?

Also any plans to introduce a paid for version with the ability to remove the R4 Theme Creator Logo from the file screen?

Sorry for holding your comment for two days, because I have a wrong setting on this blog and that would hold all comments into moderation ^^||

It’s possible to use animated gif, BUT only the first frame will be used, so it still is a still picture, won’t be animated.

So nice and helpfull program. With it and GIMP, I feel confident I’ll be able to make some Bobobo themes for the R4/M3 simply.

an M3 DS REAL… xD.
Can you please add a “M3 Real Support Feature” ??

I have no idea about giving the source code out, they are not well managed, sorry about that.

ps: Just because I don’t need a card other than R4DS :p

You can replace BottomInit.bmp, BottomScreen.bmp, TScreen.bmp with the bmp files created by R4TC Alice, I think they have same format.

I have a love/hate relationship with virtual memory because of how prices are always dropping. I absolutely hate buying Micro SD Cards for my R4 / R4i at (seemingly) a crazy bargain price only to see it become 10% cheaper a few weeks later.(Posted using NetServ for R4i Nintendo DS.)

I seem to have a little problem about the gif images. On your demonstration, the white background of your images disappeared because of the transparecy button. With me, even withe the transparecy button enabled, the white background doesn’t disappear. I wonder if the problem is with the program or my computer.
